Lab facilities

GTAC currently operates a state-of-the-art training laboratory, which includes a research lab and a portable mobile wireless lab for conducting remote training and application development in the areas of homeland security, agriculture, city management and planning, critical infrastructure mapping, and cultural resource management.

As a state agency, GTAC is uniquely positioned to assist governmental agencies across the State of Alabama with the expertise required to design, implement, and sustain geo information systems supporting local, county and state governmental mapping initiatives.
